Privacy
How information is used when you explore Gift I Am.
Who operates the site
Gift I Am is operated by ZAIQ in Johannesburg, South Africa. For privacy questions or requests, email hello@zaiq.ai with “Gift I Am privacy” in the subject.
Saved gifts and preferences
Saved gifts, display preferences and people you add to the gift calendar are kept in your browser's local storage. You can remove saved entries through the relevant feature or clear this site's stored data in your browser. Clearing browser data removes those local entries.
Share links and calendar subscription links can contain gift choices, names, relationships or dates. Anyone with a link may be able to read the information it contains. Calendar links send that information to our service to generate the calendar and to the calendar provider you choose. The generated feed may be cached for up to one day.
Gift descriptions and photos
When you submit a description, photo or request to an AI-assisted feature, that content is sent to our server and may be processed by OpenRouter and the model providers it routes to. This is used to interpret the request and produce gift suggestions or comparisons.
Our photo-reading handler processes the submitted image without saving it to a site database or writing the image into application logs. Providers process requests under their own policies. Avoid submitting sensitive information or photos you do not have permission to share.
Hosting and external content
Vercel hosts the site and processes requests needed to deliver and secure it. Service logs may include IP addresses, requested URLs, browser information and request times. Product images and other external content may be loaded from merchant or publisher servers, which receive the browser requests needed to display them.
Shop and affiliate links
When you follow a shop link, you leave Gift I Am. Merchants and affiliate networks may use cookies or similar technologies to attribute qualifying purchases. Their own privacy and cookie policies apply. Amazon Associates links include our public tracking identifier.
Checkout and payment details are handled by the merchant. Gift I Am does not take payment for the products it recommends. Read our affiliate disclosure.
Messages and your choices
If you email us, we receive your email address, message and attachments and use them to respond and address the request. We keep correspondence as needed for that purpose and relevant business records.
You can ask about personal information we hold and request access, correction or deletion by contacting us. You can also manage cookies and stored data in your browser, remove saved gifts and calendar entries, and unsubscribe from a calendar feed in your calendar app.
Our services and their providers may process information in countries outside your own. This site is intended for adult gift shoppers. Updates to these practices will be reflected on this page.
