Gifts for someone with a Pro-Ject Debut Carbon EVO (Debut Carbon EVO)
- Fitting One piece carbon tonearm with no detachable headshell
- Cartridge mount Half inch, fitted with a Sumiko Rainier in the United States
- Drive Belt drive, Pro-Ject Debut series belt
- Platter Steel platter on a plastic sub platter, 12 inch
It comes with a felt mat, a dust cover and a fitted cartridge, so a spare of those is not a gift. Pro-Ject replaced it with the Debut EVO 2 in 2024, and the drive belt is the same part for both.

Pro-Ject
Replacement Belt for Debut Series
$36 at Turntable Lab
Made for this model
What it adds: A fresh belt for the one fitted at the factory, which stretches with age and is why a deck starts running slow.
Why it fits: Pro-Ject lists the Debut Carbon EVO among the decks this official belt is cut for, and a tired belt is the usual reason one of them drifts off 33 rpm.

Sumiko
Replacement Stylus for Rainier Cartridge
$149 at Turntable Lab
Made for this model
What it adds: The Japanese made needle for the cartridge this deck ships with, which clips on by hand in about ten seconds.
Why it fits: Turntable Lab sells this as the direct stylus replacement for the Debut Carbon EVO, because the Sumiko Rainier is the cartridge Pro-Ject fits to it in the United States.
Earlier Debut Carbon EVO units were sold with an Ortofon 2M Red, which takes a different stylus.

Sumiko
Olympia Moving Magnet Cartridge
$299 at Turntable Lab
Made for this model
What it adds: One rung up Sumiko's Oyster ladder from the cartridge fitted at the factory, with a finer cantilever and a wider frequency range.
Why it fits: Sumiko's Olympia is the level above the Rainier the Debut Carbon EVO comes with, and Turntable Lab calls that level an easy upgrade for this deck, on the same Oyster body the arm already carries.
The same step up can be had for $199 by fitting the Olympia stylus to the Rainier body already on the arm.
