Why it fits: Sonos builds this stand for the Era 100 alone and colour matches it, and the top plate is cut to that cabinet, so the wider Era 300 will not sit on it.

What it adds: The small dongle that turns the USB-C socket into a 3.5 mm input, so a turntable or a record player can play through the speaker.
Why it fits: The Era 100 has a USB-C socket where older Sonos speakers had a jack, and Sonos names the Era 100 on this adapter, which is the only tidy way to get a turntable into it.
An auxiliary cable is not included, and the adapter is not in the speaker's box.
