Gifts for someone with a Sony WH-1000XM4 (WH-1000XM4, WH1000XM4/B, WH1000XM4/S)
- Fitting Sony WH-1000XM4 round ear pads, shared with the XM3, not with the XM5
- Ear cushions Synthetic leather, round, XM3 and XM4 shape
- Audio jack 3.5 mm on the left cup
- Charging port USB-C
Sony packs a hard case and a 3.5 mm cable with these, so neither counts as a gift. The XM4 cup is round and takes XM3 sized pads, while the XM5 cup is oval and takes none of them.

Dekoni Audio
Choice Suede Replacement Earpads for Sony WH-1000XM4
$59.99 at Dekoni Audio
Made for this model
What it adds: New memory foam under a suede face, for a five year old pair whose pads have gone shiny, thin and flaky.
Why it fits: These are cut for the round WH-1000XM4 cup, and Dekoni's argument is the practical one: when the original pad thins out, the noise cancelling on that model loses its seal.

Brainwavz

$14.44 at Brainwavz
Made for this model
What it adds: Silicone skins for the pads and the headband, which is the cheap way to stop gym sweat reaching either.
Why it fits: Brainwavz makes this set for the WH-1000XM4 and the XM3, the two Sony models that share a round cup and a padded headband of the same width.

Brainwavz
Coiled Replacement Audio Cable for Sony WH-1000X Headphones
$16.99 at Brainwavz
Made for this model
What it adds: A coiled lead that stretches to five metres, where the cable in the box is a short straight one meant for a plane tray.
Why it fits: The same lead is sold for the WH-1000XM4, which takes the same 3.5 mm jack, and five metres of coil reaches an amplifier across a room.
Sony packs a 1.2 m cable with the headphones, so treat this as the long one rather than a spare.
